Problem Skin
It's a rite of passage no teenager wants to endure. The minute your hormones kick in for sex drive and your body starts to take its adult shape, something goes haywire with skin.

Almost 80% of teenagers, as well as a significant number of adults, suffer from acne. The blemishes and pimples typical of acne are triggered by the male androgen hormone, testosterone. That's why some women find relief in starting the contraceptive pill; to regulate hormones as well as prevent pregnancy!

Some simple remedies include washing the face with glycerine soap and rinsing.

BANISH BLACKHEADS
You shouldn't squeeze them as you can damage the delicate nerve endings, but if you absolutely have to, at least steam your face to open up the pores. If you're using a blackhead remover, place the tiny hole over the offending spot and press gently until the blockage is released. Exfoliating weekly is a great way to remove the build up of dirt and oil that lead to blackheads.
DARK CIRCLES
First up, get enough sleep. And secondly, don't sleep too much. You'd be surprised how your sleep patterns can contribute to nasty dark circles that make you look like a vampire. Top supermodels swear by a dab of hemorrhoid cream under the eye to reduce blackness. Allergy sufferers should also control reactions, as sneezing and sniffling can contribute to dark circles under the eyes.
DRY SKIN
Jojoba oil is great for dry skin. On a clean face, smooth on a few drops and splash with cold water. Moisture is essential for keeping the skin smooth and supple. Invest in a brand that caters for "dry skin". Night creams can also be great for restoring water and nutrients into dehydrated skin.
OILY SKIN
The oily T-Zone across the forehead, nose and chin is a common skin complaint. In order to treat it, you'll need to clean daily to slough off the dead cells, excess oil and grime from the daily grind. And remember to top it all off with translucent powder.
WRINKLES
We can't stop the ageing process, but we can do our best to keep our skin elastic. Always moisturize, keep pores clean by cleansing and exfoliating and stay out of the sun.
