Our skin is like an envelope to the secrets
of the human organs. The layer of cells protects us from the
elements and any harm that may come to the inner workings
of the body.
Moisture is so important in keeping skin
healthy. The face and hands tend to dehydrate more quickly
than other parts of the body. Make it a morning must to moisturize
before you apply make-up.
In light of increased rates of skin cancer,
always use sunscreen protection during warm weather. Don't be
fooled by clouds - you can still get burnt when it's overcast.
If you have fair skin, consider using a moisturizer with sunscreen.

So you're still saving for
the big brands in the tiny jars! Here are some cheap tricks
to tide you over. This is skincare on a shoestring.
- Mix three cups of sugar and ½
cup of olive oil in a jar. Add your favorite essential oil
and use as a body scrub in the shower.
- Make your own foot deodorant by adding
ground lemon balm or lemongrass to your talc.
- Place 1 teaspoon of honey in 4 cups of
warm water and mix together. Wash and rinse your hair, then
pour in mixture. Do not rinse out. Comb the hair and style
as usual.
- Take a daily multivitamin to ensure your
skin is getting the right nutrients.
- Always remove your makeup to let your
skin breathe overnight.
- Used teabags and cucumbers are great
for reducing swelling and dark circles around the eyes.
